  • To change the date, under Date, click the dropdown menu button to find the current month in the calendar, and then click the current date.
  • To change the time, under Time, click the hour, minutes, or seconds that you want to change, and then slide the values until you settle for the one correct according to your time zone.
  • When you have finished changing the time settings, click OK.

Alternatively, if adjusting time and date via the Settings app doesn’t fix the issue, you can try setting the time and date via the Control Panel. The settings are similar but now you can set your time to sync with the internet time.

Here’s how:

  • Press Windows key + R. In the Run dialog box, type control and hit Enter.
  • After Control Panel opens, change the view to Large or Small icons and navigate down through the window to open the Date and Time option.
  • From the Date and Time tab, click the Change date and timebutton at the top and you can set it up here.

Alternatively, you can choose to synchronize time with an online time server by following these steps.

  • Navigate to the Internet Time tab in the Date and Time window.
  • Click the Change settings.
  • Check the box next to the Synchronize with an Internet time server option.
  • Click on the Update now button.
  • Click OK > Apply > OK and close Control Panel.

2] End a faulty process running from ProgramData in Task Manager

There is a certain broken file which runs from ProgramData. It belongs to Ubisoft but it often goes corrupt and prevents users from opening the utility at all. The process name is a string of totally unrelated letters and it differs on each computer in Task Manager. To end this task, do the following:

  • Open up Uplay or a Ubisoft game and wait for the screen prompting you to enter your credentials. The “A Ubisoft service is currently unavailable” error should appear.
  • Press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc key combination at the same time to open the Task Manager utility.
  • Click onMore detailsat the bottom left part of the window to expand Task Manager.
  • Stay in theProcesses.
  • Scroll down until you reach the Background processes list and look for a file associated with it – It may start with an unusual name – OTlzNDJh… or YTliND…
  • Select it and choose theEnd taskoption from the lower right part of the window.
  • Confirm any dialogs which may appear. Afterward, check to see if you are now able to log in to Uplay on your computer.

3] Uninstall the Hamachi program

LogMeIn Hamachiis avirtual private network (VPN) application.It is capable of establishing direct links between computers that are behindnetwork address translation (NAT) firewalls without requiring reconfiguration (when the user’s PC can be accessed directly without relays from the Internet/WAN side); in other words, it establishes a connection over the Internet that emulates the connection that would exist if the computers were connected over a local area network (LAN).

The Hamachi program can be uninstalled the normal way of uninstalling programs in Windows 10 via Programs and Features applet.

When the uninstall process completes, restart your computer and see if the ‘A Ubisoft service is currently unavailable’ error message still appears.

4] Disable IPv6

To disable IPv6, do the following:

  • Press Windows + R key combo. In the Run dialog box, type ncpa.cpl and hit Enter.
  • When the Internet Connectionwindow opens, double-click on your active Network Adapter.
  • Then click Properties and locate the Internet Protocol Version 6entry on the list.
  • Uncheck the checkbox next to this entry.
  • Click OK.

Restart your computer to confirm the changes and check to see if the problem persists.

5] Use static IP and DNS addresses

By default, IP and DNS address of your computer change over time and this might cause the ‘A Ubisoft service is currently unavailable’ error message to appear.

To assign static IP and DNS address, do the following:

  • Click Start and type cmd, then hit Enter.
  • Type in the command below and hit Enter.
ipconfig /all
  • Scroll down towards the network adapter which corresponds with the connection you are using and take note of Default Gateway,Subnet Mask,MACandDNS.
  • Next, press Windows + R key combo. In the Run dialog box, type ncpa.cpl and hit Enter.
  • Left-click your active network adapter and click on theProperties.
  • Locate the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) item on the list.
  • Tap on it to select it and click thePropertiesbutton below.
  • Stay in theGeneraltab and switch the radio button in the Properties window to “Use the following DNS server addresses” and use8.8.8.8and8.8.4.4respectively.
  • Switch to “Use the following IP address” and use the same number as theDefault Gateway you made note of but change the last digit after the last dot to something else. Fill out other information the same as you took note.

6] Completely reset the Hosts file

7] Run the SFC scan
