Throwable weapons include Fire Bottles (commonly known as molotov co*cktails), dynamite and more.

Dynamite

Dynamite is a dangerous explosive that can both be used as a throwable explosive, and to plant on objects to detonate after a short period - and will obliterate most any opponent - especially those who draw too close.

Fire Bottle

Fire Bottles (also known as Molotov co*cktails) are quick and easy flammable items that can be thrown to engulf a target or location in flames and burn for a short period.

Arthur can make this item while resting at a camp.

Volatile Fire Bottle

Volatile Fire Bottles are vastly improved Fire Bottles which boast increased damage and a larger spread of flames around the target. Unlike regular Fire Bottles, regular alcohol won't do - you'll need a bottle of Moonshine in order to craft this.

How to Craft Volatile Fire Bottles

To find the crafting recipe for Volatile Fire Bottles, look for the remnants of a Brush Fire just to the Northwest of Horseshoe Overlook, and in the middle of the burnt area there is a surviving chest that holds the recipe.

Throwing Knife

For when a hunting knife can't quite reach a target for a silent takedown, consider using Throwing Knives. These weapons are first unlocked during Chapter 2's Paying a Social Call mission, after which you are able to use these to throw as ranged damage.

Note that like arrows, you can retrieve knives embedded in your targets - or you can buy more from a Fence.

Improved Throwing Knife

Improved Throwing Knives are essentially close to a regular throwing knife, with the added bonus of slightly better damage, range, and accuracy.

How to Craft Improved Throwing Knife

They are easily created when crafting at camp - but you'll need Flight Feathers from eagles or hawks to upgrade them.

Poison Throwing Knife

When in the middle of combat, a silent solution may be out of the question, but a lingering death can do the trick. Poison Throwing Knives not only deal more damage than a regular throwing knife, but will cause more damage over time to kill opponents even when they retreat behind cover.

How to Craft Poison Throwing Knives

They are easily created when crafting at camp - but you'll need Flight Feathers from eagles or hawks to upgrade them. To craft one, you'll need to mix a throwing knife with Oleander Sage.

Tomahawk

The weighty Tomahawk boasts more damage right out of the gate than a regular Throwing Knife, with the added bonus of being able to be used in close combat if your target gets too close. Much like the throwing knife, you can pick up the ones embedded in your targets back after they die, or you can purchase them from a Fence.

Improved Tomahawk

By adding Eagle or Hawk Feathers to your Tomahawk, you'll have an upgraded weapon that surpasses even improved throwing knives, but still has questionable accuracy - but it will fly much faster and increase the force of impact on your unsuspecting foes.

Homing Tomahawk

How to Craft Homing Tomahawks

Instead of using mere Eagle of Hawk Feathers, the addition of an Owl Feather will give the Homing Tomahawk a much better flight path to your target letting it strike true, while also dealing a good amount of damage.

Ancient Tomahawk

This historic tomahawk can only be found east of the Wapiti Indian Reservation stuck to a target on the eastern side of Calumet Ravine.
