Operation: L.O.C.K.D.O.W.N. is the second story in the eight episode of Season 3 of Codename: Kids Next Door. It first aired on August 6, 2004 on Cartoon Network. This episode was served as the sequel to Operation: S.P.A.N.K..

Summary[]

Numbuh 1 orders a complete lockdown of the Treehouse. But the enemy is already inside, and once the Treehouse is in Lockdown, it stays locked until sunrise. Soon one by one the Operatives are getting spanked and even Numbuh 5 is completely unaware of what's going on.

Plot[]

Since Count Spankulot got arrested, Sector V were sound asleep in a quiet night when an red alarm blares off. Numbuh 1 calls all operatives in the Treehouse through the loudspeakers to initiate Treehouse Lockdown Code L-62. With the situation becoming active, Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 5 heads over to the central computer to begin the lockdown procedure. After putting in their genetic signatures, the computer starts to lock every single entrance, door, window, and even the drainage down.

Numbuh 4 has been watching the sky for Numbuh 1 as the doors are closing. Numbuh 2 and 5 arrives on the scene, watching the sky until they saw a burning R.O.A.D.S.T.A.R. coming toward the garage door fast. As the R.O.A.D.S.T.A.R. crashed into the Treehouse, it spirals out of control and bursts into flames right before the Treehouse lockdown was completed.

Numbuh 1 manages to survive the crash unscathed, but was left in a coma after a dangerous landing. The team wonders how Numbuh 1 managed to have no scratches after the crash until the T.R.A.C.K.A.M.A.B.O.B. detects a intruder in the Treehouse despite having already scanned the entire premise prior to the lockdown.

Numbuh 5 decides to scan the treehouse further, ordering Numbuh 2 to stay with Numbuh 1 and she sent Numbuh 4 to wake up Numbuh 3, who is the only operative asleep during the whole lockdown. In Numbuh 3's room, Kuki was sleeping and dreaming about a rainbow monkey called Big Bottom Rainbow Monkey, but when she woke up from her dream, she notices that her one of her stuffed toys, Big Bottom Rainbow Monkey, was missing and found it in front of her. When Kuki walked towards it, she saw something wrong with her toy until a unseen hand grabbed her head and lifted her up. Her scream was heard by Numbuh 4 and 5 and rushed over to see their teammate.

They find Numbuh 3 screaming in pain. Numbuh 4 comforted his teammate and told her to sit down and relax but Numbuh 3 could not because she got spanked pretty badly and Numbuh 5 discovered the toy with its bottom ripped, realizing that Count Spankulot has broken out of jail and is locked up in the Treehouse with them. Count Spankulot had spanked Numbuh 3’s Big Bottom Rainbow Monkey and left it in front of Kuki as bait to lure her and spanked her pretty badly at first. Numbuh 4 begs Numbuh 5 to unlock the treehouse and said that he was too young to be spanked and Numbuh 4 and 3 were scared but she firmly states that lockdown lasts until sunrise and that's that. She decides they should go see how Numbuh 1 is doing and if he might have some insight on how the Count escaped. The team heads on back to the med lab, to their horror, they find Numbuh 2 on the ground with a handprint on his bottom. As it turned out he left the lab to grab a snack and got smacked by Count Spankulot when he returned. Numbuh 5 says he deserved it for leaving his post and should be grateful Numbuh 1 is alright. Numbuh 4 is starting to lose it over his turn for a spanking when he inadvertently triggered his weapon on accident and hit Numbuh 2 at his bottom, who was crying uncle and inadvertently crashed the bench to hit Numbuh 3's bottom. All the kids in the Treehouse are in chaos until Numbuh 5 shouts at everyone to shut up and demands everyone to play their role and defend Numbuh 1 without snacks, or sleeping, or being next to be spanked. She leaves them to find the Count and give him a taste of his own medicine.

Numbuh 4 is still panicking about having his bottom spanked by the Count and begs Numbuh 2 to unlock the treehouse but Numbuh 2 states firmly that lockdown lasts until sunrise. Exceptions were not allowed. Numbuh 4 learns that there isn't even an emergency exit. Numbuh 2 does mention that there is the quadruple failsafe code that will override any treehouse command. Wally begged Hoagie to use the code but he couldn't do that either. He does state however that only Numbuh 5 knows the code but even she can't use it due to the code's importance. Numbuh 4 is willing to disobey direct orders and prepares to leave the room to find Numbuh 5 to keep out of Count Spankulot's range until Numbuh 1 unexpectedly wakes up from his supposedly long coma and orders Numbuh 4 to stay put as he will go and find Numbuh 5.

Meanwhile, in the main room, Numbuh 5 learns that there are now three intruders in the Treehouse, frustrating her that makes her throw the scan device away. She starts having doubts about using the quadruple bypass code until Numbuh 4's scream echoes in the main room. Frightened, Numbuh 5 decides to activate the bypass code until Numbuh 1 arrives and is revealed to be a Spank-Happy Vampire. He tries to attack Numbuh 5, but she defends herself and rushed over to the other teammates to warn them. Unfortunately, she discovers that all of her teammates (including Numbuh 3's Big Bottom Rainbow Monkey Doll) are turned into Spank-Happy Vampires and become part of the Spank-Happy Vampire Army. And Numbuh 1, 2, 3, and 4 acted, looked, and sounded like Count Spankulot to spank Numbuh 5 and said, “You have been bad…,” “And must be punished…,” “Isn’t that right, Big Bottom Vampire Monkey?,”. Abby tries to insist that Numbuh 1 fight this but despite the effort, he cannot.

Just when Numbuh 5 is about to turn into a Spank-Happy Vampire, she declares it was morning, as the windows opens showering her teammates in sunlight, harming them instantly. However, the camera switches to Count Spankulot in the jail lunchroom with other inmates revealing that he carried out his revenge on the KND by using his hypnotic powers to lure Nigel into prison he was incarcerated in, then turning him into a spank-happy vampire like himself which he was able to do by removing his glove, and later, having him do the same to the other Sector V operatives. Count Spankulot revealed to some prisoners that the only way a victim can cure himself/herself of the Spank-Happy spell is to spank back the vampire that spanked him/her, or spank the original Spank-Happy Vampire. To which they broke the curse by spanking the spank-happy vampire and finally changing into their normal selves. And Count Spankulot was relieved that he was in jail and Numbuh 1 was out and therefore, he was safe from being spanked.

The inmates welcomed Count Spankulot into their club until they reveal themselves to be Sector V, who manages to have snuck inside prison and those who were transformed spank the living bejeebers out of Count Spankulot for their amusem*nt and as payback and Numbuh 5 said, “You just broke the rules baby,” and then Numbuh 1, 2, 3, and 4, who were still spank happy vampires, said, “Looks like you…” “could use…” “a good…” “spanking.”, The screen goes dark as the operatives spank the count, giving him a taste of his own medicine, as the End Transmission is shown.

• Numbuh 1 was likely fighting off the transformation and trying to crash outside of the treehouse to avoid harming his teammates. Hence why he activated the lockdown.
• This episode reveals Count Spankulot can transform others into spank-happy vampires by spanking them with his ungloved hand.
  • The only known cure is to spank Count Spankulot.
  • Sunlight seems to restore the victims' original personalities.
• The M.I.C.R.O.S. Series 7 toy set was styled after this episode.
• This is the first time a genetic code (booger) is needed for identity verification in the series.

• The Spank-Happy Vampires return in the game, Operation: V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E..
• Ever since Operation: S.P.A.N.K., when Numbuh 3 gave everything away at what really happened when Sector V tried to get Count Spankulot out of their lives, he lured Numbuh 1 to jail and caused Numbuh 2, 3, and 4 to be Spank-Happy Vampires too for revenge.
• Numbuh 2 most likely was implied to have been spanked first before Numbuh 3. Several speculations could support this: He was closest to Numbuh 1, his scream was not heard (or he did not scream at all) when spanked while the other operatives were away, and he would have noticed Numbuh 1 had left his bed if Numbuh 1 had spanked Numbuh 3 first.

Goofs[]

• Numbuh 2 and 5 are sleeping in their regular clothes, when they always slept in pajamas in previous episodes.
• Numbuh 5 is not holding the T.R.A.C.K.A.M.A.B.O.B. while running from the closing doors, but is suddenly holding one in the next shot.
• Numbuh 4 is not wearing the W.H.A.T. in the back shot of him in the hangar.
• When they spot the R.O.A.D.S.T.A.R. coming towards the treehouse, there is an entire forest almost as tall as the treehouse next to Numbuh 1's house. These trees were not there earlier and is not seen after this shot.
• As the R.O.A.D.S.T.A.R. is hurtling toward the treehouse, the hangar is completely open without any closing doors visible.
• Numbuh 4's W.H.A.T. and B.O.N.G.O.S.K.O.P.E. are gone when the R.O.A.D.S.T.A.R. enters the hangar.
• The Spank-happy Numbuh 1 somehow made it to Numbuh 3's room before Numbuh 4.
• The spank mark on Numbuh 2 is of a left hand when he's first found. This is later changed inside the med lab to a right hand before changing back.
• Numbuh 4's S.P.L.A.N.K.E.R. is gone after Numbuh 5 exits the med lab.
• The mission prep room is a lot bigger than usual.
• While disguised as a prisoner, Numbuh 5 can be seen to also have vampire fangs. She does not have them when they reveal themselves to be kids.
• Numbuh 1 clearly has an orange beard when disguised, but it's gone when he reveals his identity.
• Numbuh 1's expression occasionally changes while he's laying in bed in a coma. He'll be making an angry expression in one scene, and then be frowning in the next.
