This is great but then the body comes in stock and the adapter is out of stock at the time, and you're not getting anything. I've had orders go bad like this in the past at B&H, and since I never order something that's not in stock together with something that is. For example, I ordered the R5, 100-500, and a spare battery all separately because I didn't want to be in a pickle as happened before.

B&H is so messed up right now that I'd just place a new order for the R5 and see if either of them ships. Seems like only newly placed orders are being filled. B&H has some explaining to do to the customers who are still waiting on July/Aug orders where as orders placed late September have shipped. But of course they are closed now for a good while.

Yeah life is like this. Luckily my Sonys are here, paid for, and they work. No dials popping off and no lockups. Life could be worse.

Dan, not at all. Frustration in the hospital, ha! maybe but not over photo gears. It is all fun and games to me...really nothing to get hump about. It's not like there isn't an a9/a7riv/x-t4 here for my entertainment; plus there is something to say for delayed gratification and truly enjoying the patient process. Truthfully I'm entertained by those with the insatiable hunger. I can already tell that ergonomically the R5 is behind the A7Riv if for no other reason then the size of the AF-On button, I know from reading that it is in some ways not on a9 level...and in some ways (AED) better. My intent was a companion for my much beloved DOii....now even that is tempered by Geoff's revelations. In time I'll know for myself. At that point if it frustrates then off it goes. I know the DOii acts a charm (for my level of photography) on the a9, heck it even does well on the X-T4. Maybe it will take a big FW fix or maybe even the R5ii. By then native RFs will antiquate the DOii anyway. I do wonder why I fool with anything other than the Sony gears. That's where I feel the most comfortable. Just curiosity I suppose and an aging mind trying to continue to solve puzzles.

Oh don't get me goin' on hospitals or any medical issues..of which I have a few too many! The older I get the less patience I have! The Sony line up is excellent! The Sony thread is just mind blowing!
